July 4th 2007

HAPPY JULY 4TH!!!!!!!!!!

The day started by waking up at 4:46 am to feed Dimitry. At 8:00 Sasha woke up and wanted to watch cartons. We ate a small breakfast and around 11:00 am we decided to start thinking of what we wanted to eat for lunch. Sasha mentioned that he wanted to eat McDonalds. That actually sounded pretty good. Before we had kids, we hated McDonalds. But now it's pretty tasty.

After lunch Sasha and Papa went to purchase Sasha a new bike. Since the bike he got from Santa at Christmas is already getting to be too small for him and seeing that he is a good boy and doesn't get into trouble we decided to purchase him a new bike. What a perfect day to do that on July 4th. Once they got home with the new bike we all four went for a walk in the neighborhood. It was such a gorgeous day for a nice family walk.

Around 4:00 pm I made brownies and homemade salsa. We were invited to go swimming and eat dinner with our neighbors Ray and Ruthie. They have a great pool that has a hot tub and a diving board and slide. Sasha is not afraid of the water. He was all over that pool. I remember years before kids, I could just relax in the pool. But since Sasha when I'm in the pool all I do is keep a close eye on him. He went down the slide several times and jumped off the diving board. He was in the deep end of the pool most of the time and momma here had to tread water a lot. Hey, at least maybe I burned some calories while swimming.

It's now 10:03 pm and I guess I better go and get ready for bed. Some of us have to go to work tomorrow. Brad is off the rest of the week ending his 4 weeks off with Dimitry.

Come Monday, Sasha and Dimitry will be at Day Care (Sasha calls it School).

Good bye for now. Keep checking my blog who knows what I might say.
