I thought I would update you today seeing that it is the last day of August. On the 26th of this month Dimitry turned 4 months. Boy where has the time gone? It goes by so fast that Dimitry will be going to school before too long.

Sasha is enjoying his new class at school. Brad and I went to eat lunch with him on Tuesday and his teacher Ms. Kay said that Sasha was very smart. She said that he was shy at first but he is coming around. She asked if we were going to enroll him in this particular school because a lot of parents send their children there because it is a very excellerated school. I know Brad and I say he is smart but when his teacher tells us it makes us more proud of him.

As far as next month which is tomorrow, we are taking Sasha to iceskate. We took him early this year but I was pregnant with Dimitry and I wasn't able to go on the ice with him. So I promised him after Dimitry was born I would go skating with him. So tomorrow is the day. I sure hope he enjoys it more than the last time. I think since I will actually be out on the ice with him he will be more comfortable.

Sometime in September we are planning a trip to Houston and while there we will drive to Galveston to let Sasha see the beach. We have these two pics on the refrigerator of Brad and I and he wants to know all the time why his picture isn't there. It was a time when we went to the beach before Sasha was born. So this next month Sasha will have his very own picture of him on the beach.

It is 9:50 pm right now and Dimitry has been asleep for almost 1 hour. I can't brag enough that we are so lucky to have such a great little sleeper and he is only 4 months old. Most babies don't have a good sleeping pattern until after 1 year of age. Again...we are blessed.

Good night for now and God Bless, Momma Marsha

Here is how Sasha likes to sleep. If he has a hard long day he will sit on the couch or bed and fall asleep watching a movie.

He is adorable and my big boy...

Just thought you would like to see how my precious little Dimitry sleeps at night. He has always been a great sleeper and sleeps from 9:45 pm to 4:45 am. I'm one of the lucky momma's that get a good night sleep. There are some nights that he wakes up to feed during the night but normally he sleeps all night long.

Today our little Dimitry decided that he wanted to roll over. The Day Care asked us when we picked him up today if he rolls over at home a lot. He has once but it was with our help. Alex and Jeanette and Rosio his caretakers at Day Care said he rolled over contantly during the day. He would be on his back and when they turned their heads he would be his stomach. I guess he is growing up... I'm glad but also sad that he is changing so much so fast. His caretakers said that he is very strong willed. They have some babies that are older than him that don't even want to roll over. Again.... we are very blessed.

Sasha started his new 4 year old class today at Day Care (he calls it school). He is very excited about having his new class. He really likes his new teachers Ms. Kay and Ms. Sally and Ms. Bridgette.

I can't believe it was in September 2005 that he went to his first day at Day Care in Jackie and Elva's class. He got his first impression with them and has liked school since. He sure has come a long way from September 2005. He came to his new home from Russia knowing no English at the age of 2 1/2 years old and now most people that meet him say he speaks English very plain and very well. His Pediatrician said that since he was exposed to two languages at a young age that when he does learn a language he would pronounce the language very clearly. We are so proud of Sasha learning so much in so little time. I remember his first English word and he spoke it in Moscow Russia. It was the word "light". Our hotel we stayed at in Moscow had tons of lights in the lobby and he loved going and looking at the lights.

AND THE WINNER IS.......
On August 4, 2007 Dimitry Kirk was carried across the Grand Stage to win the hearts of the judges at the 4th Annual Breastfed Baby Pagaent. There were about 13 boys from the age Zero - 6 months of age. After being carried across the stage by momma the winners were announced.

There were 4 catagories... Best Hair, Best Eyes, Best Personality and the grand prize was the "Prince" Best Overall. We sat on the front row waiting to hear the cordinator announce the Best Hair goes to Dimitry, but didn't happen, then the Best Eyes which went to my friend Laura's baby boy Damian. Next, the Best Personality winner was announced. Papa, Rob and DeDe just knew Dimitry had the Best Hair but since he didn't win that we figured it was not his time to shine.

BUT.... then the "Best Overall" Prince title winner was announced and to our surprise, the name Dimitry Kirk was announced. It kinda caught us all off guard and then I realized that I better take him up on stage to recieve the honor of winning "Best Overall" He recieved a huge trophy, banner and a bouquet of yellow flowers and a Prince Crown. We are proud of our little one for winning and he is only 3 months old.

We are so blessed when it comes to kids. God has blessed us with two wonderful boys. I know I sound like a broken record because I always say that God blesses us with our boys. I just can't stop thinking that we are blessed.
