Halloween Pics

This year for Halloween Sasha was of course "Darth Vader". Little Dimitry was a brown and white horse. We started our evening with DeDe and I picking up the boys at school (Day Care), running to Chick-Fil-A and taking our food to Rob and DeDe's house. They were going to the Day Care Fall Festival since Papa Brad was out of town gor work. We ate our dinner and headed to the Carnival. You could purchase tickets at 10 for a $1.00. Sasha went to several booths and won either a candy or a toy. He was more excited to go outside and jump in the Jumpers. The jumpers they had were a Sponge Bob, a Pirate Ship, Cars Movie maze and a big tall slide. We spent half our time inside and half outside at the jumpers. Uncle Rob and DeDe took care of little Dimitry for me while I tended to Sasha at the booths and jumpers. I really appreciate all their help at Halloween night. This is the second Halloween that Papa has been out of town. I couldn't have made the night fun for Sasha without thier help.

We ended our night by going by our neighbors Ray and Ruthie for them to see the boys in the costumes. Papa came home the next evening. The boys were so glad to see and have their Papa home.

Vacation # 2 Tulsa Oklahoma October 11-15 2007

We took our 2nd vacation this year to Tulsa Oklahoma to see attend the Star Trek Expo Convention. This is the 4rd year we have attended it in Tulsa. Each year we have a great time. Yes, even if I'm not really a Trekie like my husband Brad is.

Sasha is already becoming a little Trekie. Little Dimitry enjoyed it also. He slept a lot of the time at the convention, but when awake he was happy to be there. The convention started on Friday at 6:00 pm. It lasted until Sunday at about 4:00 pm. No we didn't stay there the whole time but we were there every day for several hours the three days. We also went to the Tulsa Zoo, the Tulsa Aquarium, one of the malls and Toys R Us. Sasha got the better end of the deal. He convinced his papa that he needed Star Trek and Star Wars and even Spiderman toys every day at the convention. What Sasha asked for his papa bought. I can see our future since I'm sure our little Dimitry will be a Trekie also. In the next up and coming years Brad better buget three times the money in order to buy what he wants and Sasha and Dimitry.

My Picasa isn't working right now so you will have to wait for a while to see my photos of our trip.

My words to describe "Our Oklahoma Trip"

$500.00 for Star Trek Convention
$150.00 for gasoline for trip
$20.00 for momma's purchases ( All I purchased was a purse)
Spending time with my boys.......PRICELESS!!!

Yes, I'm not a Trekie but I do enjoy spending time with all my boys(including Brad) even it means going to the Star Trek Conventions.... My future is destined.. I will attend all Star Trek Conventions.

As the cast would say..."Beam me up Scotty"

And the VACATION begins.... September 20-26th 2007

And we are off on vacation!!!! 10 hour drive and the boys were great!! Again, we are blessed with two great boys!!

We headed to Houston on September 20th (Thursday) and stayed with friends through Saturday night. The next morning we got into the car and headed down to Galveston until Tuesday.

While in Houston, we did things like go to the Children's Museum, Natural Science Museum. We toured the Downtown of Houston with our friends Pierre, Jane, Vina and Jon and thier aunt Milla. On Saturday we drove south to Dave's house which was fantastic!! After eating lunch with Dave at his house we all drove to Sugarland which was a very nice town. Very clean and richy looking.

Sunday we woke up and drove down to Galveston. We checked into our hotel and then went to eat lunch. After lunch we walked across the street from our hotel to the beach. This was Sasha and Dimitry's first time at the beach. I can say that Sasha really enjoyed building sandcastles (the one's Papa and Momma made were knocked down by Sasha himself. Dimitry slept most of the time while we were at the beach. After the beachtime we drove around town and did some siteseeing. We love VACATION!!!

On Monday we went to the Three Pyramids and toured the Aquariam. It was very nice and had lots of different fish and sharks to look at. After that we went to the Submarine and Destroyer ship and toured them. They were neat also. Then on Tuesday we woke up and drove home. It was another 10 hour drive home and the boys did very good.

We love taking vacations and Sasha is already asking when the next vacation will be. Who knows were we will be off to next......

Good night, Momma Marsha

Day with his new friend Gavin

About two months ago Sasha met a new friend named Gavin. Gavin was down visiting his grandma and grandpa and Sasha and him got together at Chick Fa Le. They hit it off right at first. They both love Star Wars and talked about the characters from the start. They ate their meal and were able to play on the toys. Sasha is looking forward to playing with Gavin again soon. Hopefully this winter he will come to visit again and the boys can get together again.

Day at the doctor

It rained all night last night and when we woke up this morning the ground was still all wet from the rain. It was a gloomy looking day. It drizzled all day on and off. When I was home on Maternity Leave with Dimitry it rained a lot. Here it is again and I'm off with him and it is raining again. What is it with the rain and me being off with Dimitry and Sasha. When I was off with Sasha back in August 2005 it rained a lot.

Today was Dimitry's 4 month shot doctor appointment. He woke up in a great mood as usual. We got to the appointment and he was happy still and the doctor said he is right in the middle of the growth chart as far as his height and weight. She said he looks great!! He now weighs 14.4 pounds and is 24 inches long. He does great at the doctor's visits. Then the nurse came in and gave him his 4 shots and a liquid form shot in his mouth. He cried for a minute when she poked the needle into his legs but after I picked him up he quit crying.

I guess heis going to be like his big brother Sasha. Sasha never crys at the doctor appointment even if he has to get shots or bloodwork. He says he is tough and tough he is. I remember the first appointment Sasha had when we came home from Russia. He had to get all kinds of blood tests and X-Rays, EKG, Echo Cardiogram. Even with all that kind of procedures, Sasha was very tough and didn't cry much.

We don't go back to the doctor again until his 6 month visit.

This weekend we had just a normal weekend. Since Dimitry has been here we have been busy every weekend. So on Friday we ate homemade Pizza and watched movies. On Saturday we hung out at the house and then Sunday we got up and went to church. Sasha's Chior class started on Sunday night so he was excited about that. He sure enjoys singing and music. Hopefully he will start piano lessons in the next year.

Dimitry is well loved at the church nursery. They always ask us if he is always happy. Our answer is always.......Yes, he is just a happy baby.

Dimitry and Sasha are already asleep. Sunday night makes for a long night because we don't get home from church until 8:00 and we still have to get baths done with the boys. But overall, it was a great weekend.

Wednesday, September 5, 2007

Today we ate lunch with Sasha which was very good by the way. We had enchiladas, beans and rice. It was very tasty. Everytime we eat at the Day Care with Sasha it's good. We have yet to eat their Goulash but Sasha says it very good. We also went by Dimitry's room and said hello to him. Brad ended us staying for 30 more minutes while I went back to work. Since I was envading his time with the boys.

Since Dimitry has been at Day Care (July 9th, 2007) Brad has gone to lunch every Wednesday with Sasha and after their time together he either rocks or feeds Dimitry for 30 minutes. I have asked if I could join him but Brad says to pick my own day. Every Wednesday is Brad's "Boy time" No momma aloud, he says. He says I get my time with Dimitry when I feed him. I'm still breastfeeding him when I'm with him. The only time he gets milk from a bottle is at Day Care and when I have something to do away from the house and Brad is home with him. So Brad says I get enough "Dimitry time". I do get a lot of time with him since I feed him several times a day. So it is only fair to let Brad have his "Boy time"......

Tonight Sasha and I went to church and I had an AWANA meeting. I volunteer at church every Wednesday for the AWANA program for children from the age 3 years old thru the 6th grade. This is my 3rd year to volunteer. I like working with the kids. They are a joy to me. So Sasha got to go with me tonight and he got to play in the gym with about 25 kids and they all ate Pizza while we had our meeting. We were fed as well. We ate Johnny's BBQ. It was really good. Dimitry got to stay home with Brad so he can't say he didn't get his "Dimitry time" today.

Tomorrow we will have our Parent/Teacher conference with Ms. Kay and Ms. Sally. We are excited to see what his Teachers say about him. He started having "homework" this week. What his homework consists of is us reading to him for 15 minute and signing the calendar that we read to him each night. We have been reading to him every night since we came home from Russia with him. He loves to listen to us read. I can just see it in his eyes that he wants to read himself. Brad is teaching him to read a little at a time. He can spell some words like Toy, Boy, No and Yes. A few weeks ago he told him "momma, I can spell Toy". And that he did. He said he learned it from the Toy Story movie. He watched it in the 3 year old class at Day Care (school). He is going to love to read and I'm sure since he is so smart that he is going to pick it up really fast.

Also, tomorow at Sasha's class is "Show and Tell". He has to bring something that starts with the letter "A". So Brad is letting him take an "Autograph" that he and Sasha received from Paul Newman which is the voice of Doc Hudson on the movie Cars. Brad wrote him and said that he loved his movies and that Sasha loves watching the movie Cars and he really like the Doc character. So he sent him an autograph photo made out to Brad and Sasha. That is Sasha's first autograph. He is proud of it and I'm sure he will be proud to take it to school tomorrow for Show and Tell.

Well, it's 10:53 pm and all the boys in our house are alseep. So I will go for now and hopefully I will be back to blogging in the next day or so.

God be with you tomorrow... Momma Marsha
