Sasha

Today after school we picked Sasha up and just 30 minutes before we got there he had been pushed down by a boy at school. His bump between his eyes makes me quizzy. OUCH!!!! The teacher said he didn't cry. I wanted to cry when I first saw him. That's the 2nd time this year he has had a bump on his head. And guess what he gets to do in two days??? If you said take school picutures you are correct. That's right, his 1st "real" school pictures and he will have a big bump between his eyes. He was supposed to go to his Aikido class tonight but I had him stay home and rest with an ice pack on his forehead. All I have to say is "Boys will be boys".

Sasha got his 1st rifle this past weekend. He really was responsible and he must have paid attention to the orientation at the gun range because he made sure he had his ear and eye protection on while he was shooting.

What's been going on with the boys!!

I haven't posted in a few months. We hav been very busy with our boys. So I made time tonight to take a hour to post. My boys are growing up so fast. Here Dimitry will turn 17 months in just 4 more days. Sasha is now 5 1/2 years old. Where has the time gone? We have had so much fun this summer. From playing T-Ball, Aikido, and just being a family.

I never thought it would be this much fun having a family. I knew it would be fun but not this much fun.

Sasha started Kinder this year at a new school and just loves his teacher and new friends. Tomorrow his class gets a ice cream party and an extra recess since their class had the most parents/gaurdians to join the PTA in the whole entire school. Yes, of course Brad and I joined. We wouldn't miss the opportunity in a lifetime. We will do the same for Dimitry.

Dimitry was in the Baby I room until August. He would normally move up to the Baby II room but he was so advanced with his talking and just being a big boy (he thinks he can do anything Sasha does) that the director of the DayCare asked if we minded if he moved up to the Toddler I class. Would we mind?? Are you kidding? We are so proud of our little Dimitry. He is saying lots of words. He learned a new word on Saturday. He recieved a football (a very nice one too) from Lacks Furniture and now he goes around saying "football" holding his football of course and running. Maybe he is going to be the next Dallas Cowboys quarterback. I really think Dimitry will be our sports boy. He loves balls of any sort.

I am going to try to do my best to post more often. Like I've always said, God has blessed my family and I am so thankful for that every day!!

Aikido Class Begins...

Since T-Ball ended Sasha wanted to get involved in something in the Martial Arts area, so papa searched and he found a place in town that taught Aikido Martial Arts which is no violence and it's not one of the kick, punch martial arts. So Sasha signed up and he has had two classes. He loves it and has already learned several techniques that could help in defending himself. He has about 6 other classmates and they all seem to get along. What a wonder group of friends that Sasha has now in his Aikido class.

Sasha wanted a big garden this year so we decided to cement off an area of the back yard that we could plant more than just 1 or 2 tomatoe plants and some peppers, so we did as Sasha wanted and planted 6 tomatoe plants, 4 pepper plants, 3 eggplant plants, 2 squash plants and 1 cucumber bush plant. We got a late start since Easter was late this year and the weather just stayed a little cold for a while. But we finally did plant and so far everything has grew and looks very healthy.

Oklahoma Vacation

In June we took a vacation to Oklahoma, yes it was our yearly Star Trek Convention vacation. We had lots of fun and did more than just Star Trek. We went to the waterpark, a very nice flower garden, Planitarium, museum, baseball game and some shopping at the mall. The one thing we do not do on vacation is "Rest". We are busy from the time we wake up until the time we get to bed. We try to see as much of a town as we can while visiting it.

Dimitry's 1st swim day

On June 1, 2008 Dimitry took his 1st swim. Like his big brother, it was at his favorite neighbor Ray and Ruthie. We got a picture of Sasha and Ray and now here is a picture of Dimitry and Ray.

Tonight at church was Sasha's last night as a Cubbie. He will start the Sparks group next Fall. He finished his whole book and recieved all his awards. If you take a look at his vest he is wearing you can see all the awards he has recieved throughout the year. Now my job is to sew that last two he got tonight on his vest to complete it. I'm so proud of him and he is so good at learning all the memory verses from the Bible.

Dimitry got his 1st haircut on May 17th at 11:15 am. He did great just sitting there but of course Wanda gave him a sucker to put in his mouth. He looks like a totally different little boy. He is still cute to his momma and I love him whatever his hair looks like. He may not have his little "Gerber" curly que but I love his hair no matter what style he has now.
